The short version
- We don't sell your data, and we never share your identity with a hiring firm without discussing it with you first and getting your explicit go-ahead.
- We only collect what you give us directly — through the contact form, an intro request, or the match-alert signup. We don't run tracking cookies or analytics scripts on this site.
- Confidential search listings never contain the hiring firm's name in any form you can see — that's true whether or not you ever submit any information to us.
- Form submissions are processed through Web3Forms, a third-party form-delivery service — see Third-Party Services below.
- You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your information at any time — see Your Rights.
1. Who We Are
ClearMatch (associateopenings.com) is operated by Holtz & Bernard, an attorney recruitment firm based in Miami, Florida. This policy explains what information we collect through this site, how we use it, and the choices you have.
It applies to associateopenings.com and its subpages. It does not apply to third-party sites we link to, including clearwage.co or holtzandbernard.com, each of which may maintain its own privacy practices.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in two ways: what you give us directly, and basic technical information collected automatically by our hosting provider.
Information you provide
| Where | What we collect |
|---|---|
| Contact form | Name, email, phone (optional), inquiry type, and your message |
| "Request an intro" on a listing | Name, email, phone (optional), LinkedIn URL (optional), current firm (optional), and a note to the recruiter. Submitting this does not share your information with any firm — for confidential listings, it only connects you with Chris to discuss the opportunity directly. |
| "Notify me" match-alert signup | Email address only |
All of these are optional in the sense that you only give us this information if you choose to use that specific feature. Simply browsing listings requires none of it.
Information collected automatically
Like virtually any website, our hosting provider's servers log basic technical information on every visit — things like IP address, browser type, and pages requested — for security and operational purposes. We do not currently use cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics on this site, and we don't build advertising profiles from your visit. If that changes in the future, we'll update this policy to reflect it before it happens, not after.
3. How We Use Information
- To respond to you — answering a question submitted through the contact form, or following up on an intro request.
- To facilitate introductions — for public listings, this may mean passing your interest along to the hiring firm. For confidential listings, we never do this without first discussing it directly with you and getting your explicit go-ahead — there's no automatic sharing, ever, and never for a different opening than the one you asked about.
- To notify you — if you sign up for a match-alert notification, we'll use your email for that purpose only.
- To operate and improve the site — understanding which features get used helps us build a better product, but see Section 2 above: we're not currently doing this through tracking technology, just direct engagement (e.g., how many people submit the contact form).
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
4. Confidential Searches — How Your Identity Is Protected
Confidential search listings on this site are blinded by design: the hiring firm's name is never stored anywhere in the public-facing listing, the underlying data file, or the page source — there's nothing to leak, whether or not you ever interact with the listing.
If you choose to request an introduction to a confidential search, your identity is not shared with the hiring firm at any point through that submission. Submitting the request only connects you with Chris to discuss the opportunity directly — nothing more. If, after that conversation, there's mutual interest in moving forward, we'll always discuss it with you first and get your explicit permission before ever sharing your information with the firm. We never share your identity without that direct conversation and your go-ahead — not automatically, not by default, and never for a listing you didn't ask about.
5. Third-Party Services
We use a small number of third-party services to operate this site, each of which processes information on our behalf:
- Web3Forms — processes and delivers form submissions (contact form, intro requests, match-alert signups) from this site to our inbox. Web3Forms has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data in transit.
- Our web hosting provider — hosts the site's files and, like any host, logs basic technical/server data as described in Section 2.
We don't use these services to sell your data, and we select providers based on their own privacy commitments — but we encourage you to review their policies directly if you want the full picture of how they handle data in transit.
6. Data Sharing
We share personal information only in these circumstances:
- With your explicit, direct permission — for confidential searches, given only after a conversation with you, exactly as described in Section 4.
- With public listings — if you request an intro on a public (non-confidential) listing, we may share your interest with that hiring firm as part of facilitating the introduction, consistent with what you'd reasonably expect from submitting that form.
- With service providers — as described in Section 5, solely to operate the site.
- If legally required — if we're compelled by subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or if necessary to protect our rights, users, or the public from harm.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers or advertisers.
7. Data Retention
We keep information you submit for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry, facilitate an introduction you've requested, or maintain records of an authorized disclosure. If you'd like us to delete your information sooner, see Section 8 below.
8. Your Rights
Regardless of where you're located, you can ask us at any time to:
- Access the information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your information from our records
- Opt out of match-alert emails (or any other communication) at any time
To make any of these requests, email chris@holtzandbernard.com or call 305-395-6696. We'll respond within a reasonable time, generally within 30 days.
9. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information you share with us. That said, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security. Please use good judgment about what you share with us, particularly in free-text fields like the message or note-to-recruiter boxes.
10. Public Job Listings
Public listings on this site are compiled from publicly available job postings for informational purposes. Their inclusion does not imply that the listed firm has authorized, endorsed, or retained Holtz & Bernard for that specific search. This section is about how we source listing content, not personal information — but we include it here for transparency about the platform as a whole.
11. Children's Privacy
This site is intended for licensed attorneys and legal professionals. It is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect information from, anyone under 18 years of age.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
